Advanced manufacturing employees are best prepared to enter the workforce after acquiring some degree of entry level skills. These skills range from basic “soft skills” such as working in teams, communication, and collaboration, to more technical foundation skills required for blue print reading, mechanical measurement, and the proper use of hand and power tools.
The Manufacturing Skill Standards Council (MSSC), based upon industry-defined and federally-endorsed standards, offers entry-level workers the opportunity to demonstrate that they have acquired the skills increasingly needed in the technology-intensive jobs of the 21st century.
The Certified Production Technician (CPT) certification from MSSC is designed to assess and certify the skills of front-line manufacturing production workers and first level supervisors. Attainment of the CPT certification by potential employees offers future employers with the confidence that entry-level workers are qualified for the high growth and high demand positions available in manufacturing.
Intelitek has developed 16 technical training courses incorporating manufacturing, industrial processes, industrial maintenance and industry skills to equip students with the comprehensive knowledge required for an entry level manufacturing position. In addition, successful completion of the 16 courses prepares students for the MSSC CPT Certification exam, covering the entire set of skills assessed in the exam.
In addition the program offers access to a live Practice Test to enable candidates to evaluate their preparation before taking the actual exam through MSSC.
